Railway Museum of Catalonia

Duration: 2:30
Number of participants: 25
Departures: Sunday 4 June, 10:00

Public transport tells a lot about the history of cities and their territory. Delegates choosing this technical visit will be able to enjoy a good explanation of the importance that the railway has had in the development of Barcelona as a large metropolitan area.
Visiting the museum is an excellent opportunity to see how the Catalan railway heritage is preserved. The UITP Global Public Transport Summit coincides with the 175th anniversary of the first railway that was put into service on the Iberian Peninsula, the Barcelona-Mataro (1848).

Meet-up point: Vilanova I la Geltrú (45 min away from Barcelona city centre by train)
