Mr. Silvio Sorace (male) graduated as doctor in Computer Engineering at the University of Palermo. Since 2005 he is a researcher in the laboratory “Intelligent Systems and Social Software” (IS3). This laboratory is part of the “Laboratory of Research and Development” of Engineering Ingegneria Informatica SpA.
Over the years he has worked in various Italian and European research projects. European projects include: ADVISE (Advanced Video Surveillance archives search Engine for security applications), TRILLION (TRusted, CItizen-LEA coILaboratIon over sOcial Networks), CONNEXIONs (InterCONnected NEXt-Generation Immersive IoT Platform of Crime and Terrorism DetectiON, PredictiON, InvestigatiON, and PreventiON Services). He is currently the Project Coordinator of PREVENT PCP (PRocurEments of innoVativE, advaNced systems to support security in public Transport).
