Patricia Solioz Mathys is the head of Lausanne Public Transport (tl), a company with more than 1,700 employees serving mobility in the Lausanne region. Thanks to a multi-system public transport network (metro, trolleybus, bus and rail), the company provides more than 120 million journeys per year. With a degree in Political Science and a minor in Business Studies from the University of Geneva, she began her career with the consulting firm Arthur Andersen. She then held several positions in the energy sector, including responsibility for the electricity network in the canton of Geneva. Passionate about public sector issues, she is convinced that public transport is at the heart of the climate challenges and has the responsibility to achieve the modal shift objectives desired by the communities but above all, by future generations.
