Silvia Roldán, Chief Executive Officer of Metro de Madrid since October 2019 is an industrial engineer who has devoted her career to railway systems and public transport. She started her career at the Spanish railway administrator, ADIF, where she held several positions of responsibility.
She was appointed Head Manager of the Madrid Regional Transport Authority in 2019. In October 2019 she was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Metro de Madrid.
Silvia Roldán is President of ALAMYS (Latin-American Association of Metros) and Vice President for Europe at the Metro Division of UITP.
In November 2020, she was recognized with the Honourable Mention for Industrial Engineer of the Year, awarded by the College and the Association of Industrial Engineers of Madrid.
In December 2021, she was recognized with the Industrial Engineer of the Year award, a national mention awarded by the General Council of the Official Colleges of Industrial Engineers in Spain.
