Henri Poupart-Lafarge is Alstom Chairman and CEO. He was President of Alstom Transport and Executive Vice President of Alstom from 2011 until the company refocused on transport. In 2010, Henri was appointed Executive Vice-President and President of Alstom Grid. From October 2004 to June 2010, he was Chief Financial Officer of Alstom and Member of the Executive Committee. From 2000 to 2004, he was Senior Vice President Finance for the Transmission and Distribution Sector. Henri joined Alstom in 1998. Henri Poupart-Lafarge started his career in 1992 at the World Bank in Washington, D.C., before joining the French Ministry of Economy and Finance in 1994.
