Jan Politiek is a senior specialist on QHSE-subjects within Arriva Nederland. He specializes on topics as aggression & violence, counterterrorism and recently started an initiative for making a Police-Public transport cooperation model for use in several police regions in the Netherlands.
He is also a member of the UITP Security Committee on behalf of Arriva Group already since 2010. He was chair of the UITP Security Committee for 2 terms and after that the Policy Board proposed him as honorary chair of the UITP Security Committee (2019).
He has more than 30 years of experience within Public Transport. His last achievement is representing Arriva Nederland as partner in the EU SAFEBUS project (www.safe-bus.eu ).
