Azharuddin was appointed as Prasarana’s President and Group CEO on 15 July 2021.
Formerly the Group Chief Transformation Officer of Malaysia Airlines, he brings to Prasarana a rich wealth of experience on the nation’s public transportation services; having served as the CEO of Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) from 2015 to 2018. At SPAD, he was responsible on matters of policy, planning, development, enforcing public transport laws; and enhancement of the urban rail, bus, taxis and commercial vehicle services. He has also served with the nation’s transformation agency, PEMANDU as Director for Urban Land and Greater KL/Klang Valley Public Transportation for two years from 2014.
Azharuddin started his career with Shell Malaysia and was placed in the UK Shell International Petroleum Company, London. After serving Shell for 11 years, he continued his career at Khazanah as the Senior Vice President.
