The Next Level of Mobility - An integrated approach

Everyday, we travel for different purposes and length using different transportation mode. There is not one silver bullet to address all the urban mobility needs and promoting Sustainable Mobility. The challenge is to efficiently integrate different PT modes while balancing capacity, costs, efficiency, timescale and capacity. In this complex environment, Urban Cable Car are one of the most flexible and promising solutions for its ability to crosses obstacles (hills, rivers, industrial parks, road infrastructure), making use of space that is free from traffic congestion (“up in the air”), offering straight point-to-point connections, extending the PT network or fill gaps. There are currently around 25 cities worldwide with Urban Cable Car schemes integrated within the PT network. These schemes are attractive, safe, reliable, cost-effective and adding value to the existing network. Comprehensive planning process supports the community to explore tailor-made solutions offered by the cable car to address the real needs.
