Thierry began his career in 1987 at the regional management of the French Ministry of Transport, heading up the department in charge of Motorway Management.
In 1990, he joined Vivendi Paris Region (Générale des Eaux Group) as Vice President for the Southern Region and was subsequently appointed Chargé de Mission working alongside the COO of Générale des Eaux Group. He left the Générale des Eaux – Vivendi Environnement – Veolia Group in 2003 and joined Degremont (Suez Group) as COO and as CEO (from 2004). He was appointed Executive Vice President in charge of International Operations and Member of the Executive Board of the Suez Group in 2010.Thierry is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Transdev group since September 2016.
Thierry graduated from Ecole Polytechnique (1980), Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (1985) and a Master of Science degree in Transportation from the Massachussetts Institute of Technology (1985).
