Nuno is Head of Telecommunications Systems at Metro do Porto – Light Rail Network in Porto Metropolitan Area, Portugal. The scope encompasses a wide range of responsibilities, including technological leadership, strategy, governance and driving TCO advantages across multiple systems, including Network Communication System; Server Infrastructure; SCADA-Power&Facility; Passenger Information System; Public Address System; Infotainment System; Video-surveillance Network; Radio Communications; IP-PBX and Ticketing System.
With a degree from the Portuguese Engineering School of FEUP, in the division of Automation, Production and Industrial Electronics, he has more than 20 years of experience, with background on industrial sector, where he played technical and leading roles in Outsourced Maintenance Contracts in Oil Refinery, Pulp&Paper Facilities and Deployment of Power Substation Automation, before embrace the Public Transport sector at Metro do Porto in last 16 years.
Nuno is part of the Scientific and Strategic Council of the Portuguese Association “Railway Center of Competence” since 2021.
