María Constanza García is a civil engineer from the University of La Salle, a specialist in Traffic and Transportation from the National University and a Master’s Degree in Management for Development from the Externado de Colombia University.
The Vice Minister of Infrastructure has more than 20 years of professional experience and extensive experience in the leadership of planning, formulation, structuring, design and implementation of projects focused on the development of transport and urban mobility.
She has served as Secretary of Mobility of Bogotá, from where she promoted projects related to the Ciudad Bolívar aerial cable, the substitution of animal traction, the promotion of the use of bicycles, pedagogy for road safety, the implementation and socialization of the System Integrated Public Transport System (SITP) of Bogotá, the implementation and start-up of the traffic management center and relevant studies for the administration of demand such as the formulation of the congestion charging and street parking charging project.
Within her extensive career, she has also served as director of Transportation and Infrastructure of the Bogotá Mobility Secretariat, technical director of Projects at the Urban Development Institute (IDU), consultant at the Inter-American Development Bank in Costa Rica and consultant for entities public and private.
