Guto Castro is a Philosopher, Educator and Specialist in Clinical Philosophy. Author of the books A Ribeira (1994-1998); The Fifth Commandment (1997); Who Killed Zefa Fauna?; 13 Very Bad Poems (2013), Metanasia? (2019) Metanasia? II (2021). He is a Certified Observer by the National Road Safety Observatory.

Traffic ethics? Is it the path to a culture of peace in mobility?
The present work has as main objective to show the importance of the discussion about the idea of ethics on the way to a culture of peace in urban mobility, in relations between people in traffic in Brazil based on the example of the city of Natal, in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, using as a theoretical foundation the thought of the Greek philosopher Aristotle. For Aristotle, the idea of ethics is linked to happiness – the Supreme Good. However, this happiness cannot be built individually. It must be built collectively by everyone in the city. With this, the philosopher proposes the creation of a perfect city where harmonious coexistence between peers is possible regardless of the desire of each individual in the search for the ultimate goal, which is happiness.
