Carlo Bianco is a highly experienced senior rail Operations Director with railway management roles stretching back to the 1980s. He has extensive international experience across a broad spectrum of rail mobilization, rail operations and maintenance delivery. He developed his career into ATM group, the operator of Public Transport in the city of Milan (Italy). He served for five years as Operations manager in Copenhagen Metro (currently operated by ATM ).
In 2012 he returned in Milan as responsible for the startup of the driverless line 5 which started commercial operation in February 2013.He was in charge the mobilization and start up of the new driverless line 4 which commercial operation started in november 2022. Since 2019 Carlo is the Chairman of the UITP Observatory of Automated Metros.
He is currently serving as Business Development Director in ATM Milan.
