Alexandra Reinagl is CEO of Wiener Linien, Vienna’s public transport provider. The company operates five underground lines, 131 bus lines, 28 tram lines. Alexandra is currently responsible for Operations, Sales and Corporate Communications. Since June 2021 she has been the chairwoman of UITP EU Division and vice-president of UITP. She studied law in Vienna and started working for the City of Vienna in 1997. There she was responsible for financing public transport in Vienna. From 2008 to 2011, she was the general manager of “Verkehrsverbund Ost-Region” – the authority responsible for organising public transport in Vienna and the surrounding area. One of the topics very close to her heart is “Mobile Flexibility”. She would like to position Wiener Linien as a mobility designer and thus a proponent of mobile flexibility in Vienna. She is also the chairwoman of the supervisory board of Upstream, a subsidiary of Wiener Linien.
