Khalid ALHOGAIL is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of SAPTCO, the Saudi Public Transport Company, having been appointed in 2006. He is the Chairman of the SAPTCO – RATP Dev joint venture Public Transport Company (PTC), awarded to operate the Riyadh bus network, and is a board member of the Capital Metro Company (CAMCO) joint venture with RATP Dev to operate lines 1 and 2 of the forthcoming Riyadh Metro network. Mr ALHOGAIL is also the Chairman of the Saudi Emirates Integrated Transport Company (SEITCO) joint venture between SAPTCO and Emirates Transport.
Mr. ALHOGAIL graduated from King Saud University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering in 1986, and between 2016 and 2021 he has been Chairman of UITP’s MENA region, as well as a Vice President of UITP, and has been a member of UITP’s Executive Board, Policy Board and Prescom.
Khalid ALHOGAIL promotes international business co-operation as an active member of the Executive Boards of different Saudi Business Councils with France, Spain and Russia. He serves as Deputy Chairman of the Arab Union of Land Transport (AULT), and he is a Board Director of the National Logistics Committee of the Council of Saudi Chambers.
In previous roles, Mr. ALHOGAIL has served as the Chairman of the Saudi National Committee for Joint Stock Companies, and the Deputy Chairman of the National Committee of Saudi Chambers. He has been a board member of various bodies including the Saudi Public Transportation Authority (PTA), the Advisory Council of H.E. the Minister of Hajj, the Saudi National Committee for Tourism, the Saudi – Indian and Saudi – Bahraini Business Councils, the Saudi Bahraini Transport Company and the Bahrain Limousine Company.
Prior to being appointed as CEO and MD at SAPTCO, Mr. ALHOGAIL fulfilled various roles within SAPTCO between 1996 and 2006 including Vice-President for Operations and Technical
Affairs, and working at STC as a Project Engineer and Manager for Construction and Building Maintenance between 1986 and 1996.
