Marta Serrano is the CEO of EMT València, which provides public transport services to the city of Valencia and some towns in the metropolitan area. She has become the first female CEO of the municipal company, leading sustainable mobility in València and employing more than 1,700 people. As CEO, she is working to strengthen the role of EMT València as a sustainable, accessible, and more energy-efficient public transport service to combat climate change and promote a safe and friendly city. She is also committed to promoting gender-sensitive policies and actions in transport and mobility planning to address some of the remaining gender gaps and move towards an inclusive transport system. She was hired in 2015 as Director at the Municipal Transport Company of Madrid, leading the areas of consultancy and communication.
