An approach to improving Critical Infrastructure Resilience in connected European Cities
Disruptions to a city's critical infrastructure can result from natural hazards or malicious attacks, in recent years there have been an increase in the number and sophistication of these events. transport networks and public transport providers play a key role in evacuation, mobilization of first responders and recovery. The EC have identified these risks and have asked for a comprehensive approach to secure existing and future critical infrastructure in an accurate, efficient and cost effective way. PRECINCT is a research project funded by the EC that aims to do just that.
