Stephen Cooles is a Senior Director, and Head of Partner Development within the Visa Government & Urban Mobility (VGUM) team based in London.
Stephen leads Visa’s engagement with Urban Mobility Technology Partners worldwide and is also responsible for the planning and delivery of the VGUM teams global and regional events, and acts as a source of expertise in marketing and communications for contactless transit payment launches for public transit organisations worldwide.
Prior to joining Visa, Stephen spent nearly twenty years at Transport for London, where he held key roles in marketing London’s high profile contactless ticketing project, the Oyster card system and the removal of cash payments from the city-wide London bus and tram network.
Stephen holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Marketing & History.
