Isabel has a degree in Physics, and has developed her entire career at Iberdrola, first in the power generation area and later in issues related  to climate change and Innovation. She is currently a Senior Analyst in Energy Prospective and Transportation, developing tasks related to decarbonisation technologies and policies to support them. One of her areas of expertise is the decarbonisation of transport, with special enphasis on the electrification of road transport. Isabel is member of the Sustainable Development Committee of the UITP since 2021

    Energy Efficiency Through Public Transport Electrification

    The presentation studies efficiency and publc transport: public transport as a efficiency measure in urban transport and energy efficiency in public transport itself. Taking into acount data from different outlooks, the presentation shows that transport electrification, particularly public transport, is a way to reduce emissions, but also a very important energy efficiency measure.
