Sylvain Tousignant is the General Director of the Bureau du taxi de Montréal and brings over 20 years of experience in change management, sales and public service. He has a wide-ranging expertise, a thorough understanding of current affairs related to the remunerated passenger transportation by automobile industry. His goal is to make Montréal’s RPTA industry competitive, agile and appealing. He leads revitalization and modernization strategies and is known for his participatory leadership style that automatically incorporates consultation and stakeholder value. He works closely with varied levels of government, partners and organizations linked to the industry.
He launched the “BONJOUR” branding for Montréal taxis, managed the implementation of the Taxi Registry and oversaw the deployment of an exceptional program to support the taxi industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. He sits on several boards of directors and is the Chair of the UITP Taxi & Ride Hailing Committee.
