Electronic engineer with a PhD in Operations Research (thesis on algorithms for railway traffic optimization), more than 25 years of experience in the Railway sector spent initially in R&D, after in project management and in the last 15 years managing bid & sales activities internationally in Bombardier before he joined Wabtec Electronic Group on January 2019. Alessandro is currently involved in the Europe’s Rail Joint Undertaking R&D project co-financed by the European Commission as Project Coordinator for the FutuRe project (Future for Regional Lines). FutuRe’s key goal is to develop low-cost innovative solutions for low density railway lines.
