Benedikt Prinzing is an Austrian based transport planner at Doppelmayr Seilbahnen. His work is influenced by his educational stations in Germany and Canada where he focused on sustainable, inclusive and resilient mobility. At Doppelmayr, he´s working on projects worldwide, dealing with major urban challenges, analyzing the demand and requirements of new mobility solutions and developing strategic concepts for urban mobility. His focus is placed on analyzing relevant KPI´s that allow for an equal comparison between different modes of transport. For him, it´s very important that the best solution should solve the task based on an equal comparison with clearly defined requirements.

Integrated, sustainable and multimodal public transport with urban cable cars
The presentation covers important aspects and major issues to consider for the integration of new mobility alternatives. Focus is placed on cable cars and key points based on experiences are illustrated. It will be shown, what cable cars can cover if they meet the given requirements best. Best practice examples include the cable car projects in Mexico City and Paris. All examples are fully integrated into the city´s transport network and will highly improve the public transport accessibility within the city.
