June 05: Integrating on-demand services into the wider public transport network
Let's make mobility sustainable – On-Demand is an integral part
Tram and bus services, timetables and tickets from a single source. The Leipziger Verkehrsbetriebe is the integrated mobility service provider in the city of Leipzig. The Flexa product, an on-demand service, extends the 10-cycle tram service to the outskirts of the city. High passenger acceptance and satisfaction make the product a success. The automation of this service is a medium-term goal. For this reason, LVB is actively working on the automation of such services as project leader in the "Absolute" research project.
