Matthias Niebuhr is a Berlin based IT-law specialist working with BDO Legal in Germany, primarily working in Data Protection, IP/IT-law. Currently, he is a member of the Commission Expert Group on B2B Data Sharing and Cloud Computing Contracts established under the proposed EU Data Act. Moreover, he is part of the STAPL, a project funded by the German ministry of Digital and Transport, aiming at standardizing data exchange between PTOs and establishing a data governance in the field. Prior to joining BDO he was General Counsel of the stock-listed MyHammer Group in Berlin, Germany, an internet business in the home improvement market, Partner with Toft Fricke Rechtsanwälte, Hamburg and Senior Legal Counsel with AOL Germany.
