Nicolas Peltier-Thiberge became the World Bank’s Global Director for Transport in May 2022. Mr. Peltier-Thiberge joined the World Bank in 2002 as a Young Professional and he has since held various positions in the Transport Global Practice, managing World Bank-financed transport investments in multiple regions, including North Africa and the Middle East, Latin America and the Caribbean and Africa.
Between 2012 and 2015, Mr. Peltier-Thiberge was a Portfolio Assistant in the Office of the World Bank Group President. From 2015 to 2022, Mr. Peltier-Thiberge has been a Practice Manager in charge of the World Bank’s Transport business in North Africa and the Middle East, West and Central Africa and Latin America and the Caribbean.
Mr. Peltier-Thiberge holds graduate diplomas in science and civil engineering, as well as technology and policy from Ecole Polytechnique (France), Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées (France), and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (United States).
