After studying architecture and a career in leading multidisciplinary design agencies, Patricia Bastard joined Yellow Window, the Antwerp-based design agency – a pioneer in transport design -founded by Belgian designer Axel Enthoven, as an associate. In 2007, she founded and developed Yellow Window France, a design agency dedicated to mobility, firstly in Paris and then in Lyon.
Walking, cycling, self-moving shuttle, tram, metro, RER (Regional Express Network), regional train, high speed train, night train, etc. Yellow Window assists all economic actors and stakeholders in developing sustainable mobility: local authorities, organising authorities for mobility, operators, industrialists, start-ups, etc.
Strategic thinking, developing new approaches, managing various design skills (service design – information design – product design – transport design – space design) have provided Patricia Bastard with an extensive view of design and a proven moderating practice involving private and public players, experts, users

Lighting Design, Paris Region Approach for Mass-Transit vehicles
Yellow Window, the design agency dedicated to mobility, takes care of every Paris Region citizen in his/her diversity and movements within one of the most important transport networks in the world! The challenges faced by Ile-de-France Mobilité, the Paris Region's Organising Authority for Mobility, are multiple: building an harmonised network identity, improving and simplifying the passenger experience, providing an interoperable network. Lighting is one of the items to meet these challenges and principles have been adopted and implemented on recent vehicles in the various road and rail modes: bus, tramway, underground, RER, train … Today, the ambition is to go further implemented in terms of lighting principles... but first of all we need to observe practices, listen to passengers' feelings and analyse comfort needs in objective terms.
