Özgür Soy is currently acting as the CEO and Board Member of Metro Istanbul, Turkey’s largest intracity rail systems operator. He is also the General Coordinator of all Transport Subsidiaries of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Mr. Soy has a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Boğaziçi University and an MBA from INSEAD. He has accomplished a Certificate in Port Management with a full scholarship from the Singapore Government. Mr. Soy is currently a Doctorant of Maritime Engineering at Istanbul Technical University, pursuing a thesis in intracity multimodal transportation.
Özgür Soy has previously held leadership roles such as Chairman, CEO and VP in Kumport Container Terminal, Procter & Gamble, DHL, Schneider Electric, Arçelik, Borusan Lojistik & Trenkwalder Group. He also worked as Lecturer of Logistics & Transportation in Yeditepe University and Uludag University. Mr Soy was a Keynote Speaker in many Conferences in Turkey, Europe, China & The Middle East.
Mr. Soy is fathering 3 children and is fluent in Turkish, English and German.
